Curt Schneider, Global Geophysical’s Marine Technical Supervisor, is now promoted to Marketing and Sales Manager – Worldwide Marine.

Curt began his career with Western Geophysical, working on and managing land and marine crews. His 25 years of hands-on experience has provided him with a very broad background in seismic data acquisition, with a specialization in transition zone and ocean bottom cable operations. Curt’s expertise includes vessel operations, crew management, data processing (including dual sensor data), data analysis, geophysical design, as well as the design and implementation of vessel rig-ups, recording, navigation and field QC systems.

Prior to joining Global, Curt was the Technical Coordinator for Worldwide Transition Zone Operations for PGS Onshore.

“Curt brings to the table a solid understanding of marine geophysics that has helped boost our competence in transition zone, shallow marine and potential streamer operations,” states Richard Degner. “He has established a great reputation in this industry and has global experience that will bring added-value as we tender international projects.”

Curt obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysics from Pennsylvania State University. He has extensive technical and safety training obtained while employed at Western, ExxonMobil, and PGS.

Reporting directly to Degner, Curt will manage Global’s marine client base and will help to identify new opportunities to grow both domestic and international business. He also will continue to serve as the chief marine geophysicist, managing all geophysical design and support for worldwide marine operations.
