Global Geophysical is pleased to add industry veteran Laurie Williams to its management team as the Operations Manager for US Land.
Laurie began his career at Western Geophysical in Pakistan in 1980. Starting out as a vibrator technician, he quickly advanced within the organization and held a variety of positions including Party Manager, Field Supervisor, Country Manager and Operations Support Manager. Laurie’s operations experience includes managing multi-million dollar projects in challenging countries such as Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Kuwait, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Yemen, Algeria and Oman.
Global President Richard Degner comments, “Laurie is yet another of the highly experienced managers that we are so delighted to have in our rapidly growing organization. Laurie brings a global experience base that will greatly enhance Global’s domestic US operation. What matters in this business is knowledge and experience and Laurie has a wealth of it. He is also a manager that many of us have worked with in the past and he shares our values, work ethic, and entrepreneurial culture. He is a strong manager and leader. We are proud to have him and from the look of the smile on his face, I think he is glad to be here!”
Laurie will report directly to Kirk Girouard, Vice President of Land Operations - Western Hemisphere, and will manage all onshore crew operations in the US.
